New Year and Christmas celebrations in the Defence Intelligence of Ukraine

It has already become a good tradition in the Defence Intelligence of Ukraine to celebrate divine service at the time of great religious holidays.
Thus, on the 19th of December, 2008, in the day of the Hallow Wondermaker Nicolas Mirlikiysky, and on the 7th of January, 2009, in connection with the blessed holiday of the Birth of Christ, there was a divine service held in the church of the Saint Nicolas Mirlikiysky, the service was celebrated by the senior priest of the Saint Michael church archpriest Father Bogdan Shtim. The conscripts, contract military personnel, the officers and the members of their families could take part in the service.
On the 5th of January, 2009, there was a holiday event held in the House of culture and recreation of the Defence Intelligence of Ukraine, in which the children of the military personnel and servicemen of the Defence Intelligence of Ukraine took part. There was a performance presented to the attention of the children, created by the motives of the fairy tale “The Snow queen”, which was played by the artists of the choir of the Defence Intelligence of Ukraine “A Charm”.
After the performance the children took part in the merry games and competitions. The most adroit and talented were given souvenirs from the artists as a keepsake. More over, each child got presents from Santa Claus and the Snow Maiden.
