Based on the training plan, separate reconnaissance units of the Ukrainian Western Operational Command underwent field exercises in May, 2010.
The exercises included tactics, range practice, special & engineer training, map reading etc. During the exercise period, reconnaissance units’ personnel developed their proficiency in gathering data on the maneuver enemy installations, passing natural obstacles, live firing day and night.
Units’ commands devoted much attention to creating the environment similar to real battlefield.
In the closing stages of field exercises, personnel were invited to compete for best trooper and best unit titles.
