Today, we remember with gratitude the memorable events that determined the fate and future of our country. We honor all those referred to the honorary title of the Motherland defender, the title which is common to everyone - from grey-haired veterans with dozens of awards to youngsters, who have recently put on their military uniform.

From generation to generation we inherit such sacred notions as love for the Motherland, honor and allegiance to military duty. It should be specifically emphasized on the eve of the celebrations of the 65th Anniversary of the Great Victory. All the veterans of war, combats and military service should be commemorated with gratitude and filial respect for their endless sacrifice, courage and bravery.

We bend our heads before you, our dear veterans. Let the cherished memory of your feat live for centuries. We are grateful for your active life stand and for your significant contribution to the military and patriotic education of youth.

Having inherited the glorious traditions of grandfathers and fathers, showing high level of patriotism, honesty and professionalism, the personnel of the Defence Intelligence and its subordinate units fulfills with dignity and honor important tasks of protecting Ukraine's national interests and sovereignty. It raises the prestige of the Armed Forces by its service.

On the occasion of the Day of the Motherland Defenders, please accept my sincere congratulations and wishes of good health, happiness and peace, new successes in the noble cause of serving the Ukrainian people!
