Over 26 hundred parachute jumps are planned for a Khmelnitsky-region-based Special Forces regiment (separate) of the Ukrainian Ground Forces.
Regiment’s personnel kicked off the practical jump phase on July 9 in the implementation of 2010 combat training Program.
Personnel were theoretically, practically drilled prior to the jump phase, focusing on safety measures.

A Mi-8MT helicopter was taken up 10 times in order to airdrop 160 personnel as early as the very first day of jump exercises. Reconnaissance parties used the opportunity to practice performance of special tasks after being airdropped behind the simulated enemy lines.
Reconnaissance troopers are planning to make as many as 26 hundred jumps over the three-week-long training period which will last till July 30. Nearly 200 last fall’s, this spring’s enlisted personnel will be making their first jumps ever alongside with contract soldiers and officers.
