He belongs to the eternity…

According to the tradition each year celebrations are held in the Defense intelligence of Ukraine in honor of the prominent son of the Ukrainian people - Taras G. Shevchenko.


On the 5th of March, 2009, there was a celebration, dedicated to the 195th anniversary of the Great Kobzar (Kobza-player), in which, among other invited guests, a great-great-granddaughter of T.G.Shevchenko on the side of his sister Kateryna took part - a writer Ludmyla O. Krasytska, the president of the All-Ukrainian charitable cultural and scientific fund named after T.G.Shevchenko; and also Ludmyla M. Zadorozhna - doctor of philology, professor, the head of the chair of the history of the Ukrainian literature and the studies of Shevshenko's creative work in Kyiv National Taras Shevchenko University.

Ludmyla M. Zadorozhna dedicated her speech to the issue of the integrity in the poetry of Taras Shevchenko.

 

In her turn Ludmyla O. Krasytska told to the present audience about little-known aspects of life and creative work of T.Shevchenko, and also thanked the commanding staff of the Defense intelligence of Ukraine for the respectful attitude to the keeping of the cultural traditions of the Ukrainian people.


Also the kobza-players of Strytiv kobza-playing school and the artists of the choir of the Defense intelligence of Ukraine "A Charm" took part in the event and performed musical compositions with the poetry of Taras Shevchenko.
