On 17 September 2009, A headstart was given in the Defence Intelligence of Ukraine to the course under the general title “Historical and memorial amenities of Ukraine”. The course covers outstanding historical and cultural amenities of the Ukrainian nation that will be brought to attention of the DIU military and civilian personnel during interesting and factful lectures. The first lecture “Kyiv of Art” was delivered by the Honoured worker in the culture of Ukraine, Prof. Lyudmyla Gerasymenko. A distinguished expert in national and world art, she focused on the pages of history, little known, related to the ancient European city, the wonderful Kyiv. The audience listened to Prof. Gerasymenko’s captivating story with great interest and expressed their requests in respect of the future meetings. |
