A briefing dedicated to the 15th anniversary of the Ukrainian Constitution adoption was held in the Defence Intelligence of Ukraine, HQ
On June 28, 1996, basing on the centuries-long history of the Ukrainian state establishment, the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine expressed the sovereign will of our country’s citizens and adopted the Constitution – the fundamental law of Ukraine. Since then, June 28 is annually celebrated as the state holiday – the Day of the Constitution of Ukraine.
On the eve of the holiday, the DIU personnel visited the briefing on the “Implementation of the Ukrainian Constitution provisions in the military sphere”. The military law department associate professor of the Military institute of the National Shevchenko University, master of laws, military justice Colonel (Rtd) Volodymyr Shulhin was invited to deliver a lecture for the DIU workforce.
During his interesting and informative report, the lecturer told the audience about the origin of the Ukrainian constitutional law, gave a general characteristic of the 1996 Constitution of Ukraine, and took time to describe some problematic issues of the implementation of the Ukrainian Constitution provisions in the military sphere.
At the end of the lecture, the DIU personnel thanked the reporter for the speech and invited him to meet again.
