The leaders of Foreign and Defence Intelligence Services have agreed to enhance cooperation

In the central office of the Defence Intelligence in Kyiv a joint working meeting was held in which the leaders of the Foreign Intelligence Service of Ukraine and the Defence Intelligence of Ukraine took part. A range of practical issues was discussed at the meeting. They concerned the cooperation between the two intelligence organs, jointly coordinated measures, aimed at promotion of the national interests and State policy of Ukraine in economic, political, military, military - technical, ecological and informational spheres.
During the meeting a joint position concerning the division of competences, information-sharing, settlement of personnel issues and interaction between these intelligence organs was elaborated.
The leadership of both structures came to an agreement on further cooperation in effective modeling of the security sector of Ukraine which will ensure identification, early warning, localization, and neutralization of new and potential threats to the national security of Ukraine.

The Head of the Foreign Intelligence Service of Ukraine M.Malomuj and the Chief of the Defence Intelligence of Ukraine V.Gvozd' noted, that the meeting would boost bilateral relations between the two organs and enhance the efficiency of their work. They also agreed that under modern conditions a fruitful cooperation and mutual understanding in such an important and sensitive sphere serves to the interests of the State.
