Special Forces International Competitions

Ukrainian Army Special Forces team participated in the international competitions of spotter-shooter teams and Special Forces units in the town of Maryina Gorka, Belarus. The competition was held on June 22-26, 2009 on the invitation of the Chief of General Staff - Deputy Minister of Defense of the Republic of Belarus.
Ukrainian Army Special Forces team participated in the international competitions of spotter-shooter teams and Special Forces units in the town of Maryina Gorka, Belarus. The competition was held on June 22-26, 2009 on the invitation of the Chief of General Staff - Deputy Minister of Defense of the Republic of Belarus.
The event took place within the framework of bilateral cooperation between the Ministry of Defense of the Republic of Belarus and the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine.
12 teams were invited to participate in the competitions:
- 9 teams from the Republic of Belarus;
- 1 team from the Republic of Kazakhstan;
- 1 team from Ukraine;
- 1 team from Armenia.
Through participation in the international competitions, Ukrainian team personnel have gained a valuable experience by improving skills of parachute jumping, firing foreign-made light weapons, working with foreign engineering equipment and topographic maps.
