Ukraine’s Defence Intelligence representatives visit the National Museum of Taras Shevchenko in order to educate the DIU personnel on the deep cultural, spiritual traditions of the Ukrainian nation.
Ukraine’s Defence Intelligence representatives visit the National Museum of Taras Shevchenko in order to educate the DIU personnel on the deep cultural, spiritual traditions of the Ukrainian nation.
Museum’s managing director, honoured culture worker of Ukraine Nataliya Klymenko took the intelligence personnel on a very interesting and comprehensive tour.
While at the museum, the guests had an opportunity to get acquainted with its unique collection comprised of some priceless items: Shevchenko’s artwork masters, various documents concerning his life and activities, rare photographs of the poet and his friends, Shevchenko’s original publications with his autographs, a significant amount of editions of his poetry and books about him starting from his lifetime editions and up to modern ones, both national and foreign.
The group of DIU personnel saw fine, plastic art works of distinguished artists, writers that reflect Shevchenko’s era, his life and activity. The intelligence personnel displayed their genuine interest in those materials that illustrate the global impact of Shevchenko’s work, as well as their translations in a number of foreign languages.
At the end of the tour, representatives of the Defence Intelligence sincerely thanked Ms. Nataliya for the captivating journey into the world of Ukraine’s great son.
