A month of heat for honcharivsk reconnaissance personnel

It has been already almost a month since the reconnaissance personnel of the 1st armored brigade live and train on the range nearby the Goncharivske village of Chernigov region. The reconnaissance company carries out missions 24 hours a day. In particular, military “special squad troopers” drill reconnaissance search actions, ambushing and sabotage.

The reconnaissance men have mainly travel ration, but sometimes they have to eat something that "creeps, flies or runs in the field".

According to the words of the armored brigade chief intelligence officer major Volodymyr Komaryanskyj, in such a way the unit prepares for the competition for the title of the top reconnaissance party of the 8 Army Corps of the Armed forces of Ukraine that will take place in Zhytomyr from August 30 till September 2.

The competitions will have three stages. On the first one the reconnaissance men will accomplish tasks on military topography, communication, engineering and military medical training, and then in groups they will cross a combat course.

The second stage provides for knowledge examination and endurance test in different types’ reconnaissance. In particular, reconnaissance groups will perform a 30-kilometres march, conduct the urban area reconnaissance and resurvey of the specified object, and then they will cross a water obstacle.

During the third stage one of the reconnaissance troopers will perform tactical firing exercise. For this the inspector chooses the member of the group himself. The “teams” will also carry out field firing exercise "Group in the attack" and then they will disengage from the pursuing enemy.

The full complement of the 1st armored brigade reconnaissance company takes part in the training. The camp period for them will last till late August.
