At the end of September, one of the Ukrainian Navy Special Forces units conducted special tactics exercise according to the combat training plan.
The Special Forces personnel were practicing their skills in conducting special operations and improving their ability to accomplish combat objectives under the complicated situation conditions.
Theoretical studies of the simulated enemy were organised prior to conducting the active phase of the exercise. Various scenarios were considered depending on possible enemy forces organisation, armament, objectives and probable manner of operations.
During the practical stage, the personnel were conducting concealed advancement towards the reconnaissance objectives, detecting and clearing mined areas, setting up ambushes and conducting raids.
On the final stage, the Special Forces units blocked the simulated enemy and stormed the building he was in.
All the objectives were successfully completed during the exercise. The personnel improved their proficiency acting under near-real conditions, and increased the level of combat training.
According to the exercise results, Ukrainian Navy Special Forces proved ready to perform their functional tasks.
