The Ukrainian scouts participate in the international competitions for the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation championship among the Special Forces reconnaissance groups

The competition started on July 24, 2011, on the territory of the Russian Federation at the base of one of the military units
Similar competitions were held since 1975. They were arranged among Special Forces reconnaissance groups of the former USSR Special Forces units. Since then, such competitions were organized on a regular basis. The competitions proved their high efficiency. It was clear that it had been necessary to carry out such contests as they helped to objectively assess the level of training proficiency of the competitions’ participants and Special Forces units, represented by them.
During the present competition that will last for several days reconnaissance men will show their skills to the experienced referees. They will land to the rear of the imaginary enemy, advance to the unknown territory, secretly force water obstacles, arrange and conduct ambushes and raids, arrange rest places, mine and demine the area, disengage from the enemy after the mission fulfillment, etc.
Carrying out the mentioned tasks, the Special Forces reconnaissance groups’ personnel will also pass tests on fire, tactics, special, airborne, engineer and military-medical training, as well as they will show their skills in tests on military topography, signal and communication training and so on, and so forth.
