91st Anniversary of proclamation of the Ukrainian People’s Republic, Western Ukrainian People’s Republic Union Act celebrated in the DIU HQ
One day before the National Unity Day of Ukraine, briefing on “Ukrainian People’s Republic and Western Ukrainian People’s Republic Union Act as a spectacular event in the history of Ukrainian state-building” was held at the HQ, Defence Intelligence of Ukraine.

The event was attended by a special guest, Volodymyr Serhiychuk, Doctor of History, professor, Ancient and Modern Ukrainian History Department, Ukrainian Academy of Sciences of the Highest School of Ukraine. In his speech, Volodymy Serhiychuk thoroughly covered every detail of the difficult situation and historical aspects in which the Ukrainian People’s Republic and Western Ukrainian People’s Republic Union Act was proclaimed. The speaker particularly focused on the importance of such event for the development of modern Ukrainian state. “National, spiritual unity, social understanding and integrity of the nation, brought to light on January 22, 1919, should be the primary criteria in the development of powerful Ukrainian State”, Prof. Serhiychuk has said in conclusion. |
