Veterans of the Defence Intelligence of Ukraine celebrate the professional holiday

On September 5, 2009, initiated by the Intelligence Veterans Association of Ukraine, a gala meeting was held in the Central Officer House of the Armed Forces of Ukraine on the occasion of the 17th anniversary of the Defence Intelligence of Ukraine.

Chief of the Defence Intelligence of Ukraine, Lieutenant General Victor Hvozd took the stage to greet the participants.
Victor Hvozd stressed the part that the Defence Intelligence takes in securing the national interests of Ukraine, and thanked the veterans for their significant contribution into the defence intelligence agency’s formation and development. Victor Hvozd outlined the prospects of cooperation between the DIU and intelligence veterans organizations.
Defence Intelligence veterans were heartily greeted by representatives of veteran organizations of other defence and law enforcement agencies of Ukraine.
The festives passed in warm and friendly atmosphere, confirming the inextricable link between generations and continuity of traditions of Ukrainian defence intelligence officers.
